Goodbye My Readers, Goodbye My Friends...

    Hello my dear readers! This will be the hardest and most heart breaking post of mine. As you can understand from the title it is a goodbye post. If you go back and see my very first posts you can see a teaching with technology post. I said that technology must be integrated into the lessons and at the end of my journey I still think like that. I didn't change my opinions on the contrary they got stronger. Because the more I used technology the more I liked it and found it beneficial. 

    When I look at myself I can see a better version of me. This means that I improved myself in the terms of using technology efficiently. In one of my older posts, I said that I don't like to deal with technology much. I said I was seeing myself as an old-fashioned teacher and I continued saying that I should be a futuristic teacher. Now I think that I took a big step towards that goal.

    I always wanted to open a blog but I never had the chance to do that. Thanks to our Instructional Technology and Material Design lesson I finally did that. In the lesson there were great assignments such as opening a wiki or turning my favourite book into a movie. However there were difficult assignments too. Such as recording your own voice and making a video about the friendship. But still I had fun during those assignments.

    In order to make this lesson much more better and easy I reccomend to our instructor to give more individual works and less pair works. I really love my partner but it is difficult for both of us to get together. And I reccomend my instructor to give some example applications for the work since it can be very difficult to find the suitable one. 

    I am really greatful to all of you. But don't be afraid because I'll be back... 

Really Simple Syndication

    Hello my dear readers! In this post we are going to talk about RSS. I can hear your questions! RSS means Really Simple Syndication. It helps us to gain more time. We are following lots of blogs and sometimes it gets really hard to cope with all of them. We have to check them every day to be sure that we didn't skip anything. So with the help of RSS we are more relaxed because when one of our favourite blogs, such as World Of Mine, posted something new it lets us know.
    It is very simple application. First you are joining it then you are making your site look personal with the steps below.

    This is how you start using it. Now I want to introduce one of my favourite sites One Stop English. This site is a very useful site for English teachers. It has great ideas about how to teach a certain topic. You can use their applications. It has several sections, It helps you  with both adult and children learners. Fun Way to Improve Your English!

    Hello my dear readers! I am here again. As we all know we are in the technology era. Even when I'm writing this I am using technology. Even when I want to reach you I use technology. We can have a long talk if it is a good or bad thing to be this attached to the technology but it is not our topic today.

    Today we are going to talk about web 2.0 tools. For my lesson I created an infographic that introduces my favourite tools. I shared my favourites with you by giving brief informations about them. While creating the infographic I used CANVA.

The Best Spin-off Ever!!

    Hello my dear readers! Do you remember the earlier post of mine which I wrote about one of my favourite books? The poster that you'll see below is belong to that book. Why do I have a poster about a book? Get ready because I'll make a movie from it. I mean maybe not now but maybe tomorrow. Who knows?
    Well the topic of the day is making a movie poster of your beloved book. While doing it, I used CANVA application. It is a very useful and easy application. Therefore if you are intersted in such things I totally recommend it to you.
    While doing this assignment I really had fun. But I don't think that it would help our future student very efficiently. I mean yes it is fun but it only helps students imagination and creativity. I think that it wouldn't help the vocabulary, grammer and pronunciation parts. Would I give such assignments to my students yes maybe just to make them relaxed and let them have fun.

FRIENDSHIP GOALS!

    Hello my dear readers! In this post I am going to talk about digital storytelling. In this project I studied with one of my best friends Necla. In this project we were given 3 options to study in pairs and obviously me and my partner worked on what it means to be good friends.
    In this project there were both easy and challenging parts. Easy part was to talk about our friendship with Necla. And the challenging part was to find an application which lets you both put an image and sound on the file. We spent at least two days to find a suitable application but we found the application that we used by chance. And that application was "movavi video suit 18". The application was very easy to use. It was giving the instructions very openly and clearly. The only problem with the application is that you have to buy it first. But we used a trial version of it. And because we used a trial version, it put some watermarks on the photographs. I hope you don't mind it.
    In the future I would love to give such project to my students. Because it is easy and efficient. Through this project they can hear their pronunciation, they can learn how to use such applications and they can have fun.

Assistant For Both Teachers and Students: ESOL Courses

    Hello my dear readers! In this post we are going to analyze ESOL Courses. This website is for both students and teachers. In this site you can find materials for both children and adult. The aim of the site is to teach English to the speakers of other langugaes. You can visit the website by clicking HERE.
    Who authored the website? Is there any information about their qualifications or credentials?
   The lessons are written by experienced authors with a solid backgrounds in writing materials for both teaching and learning English. Writers hold an internationally recognised qualification (such as CELTA or Trinity), and have a minimum of ten years teaching experience. The author's names can be found within the credits seaction on each page.
    What is the content of the website?
   There are many content in the website. Grammar, vocabulary, listening, writing, reading, featured lessons for teachers, english for work and some cultural informations such as life in the uk and life in the us.
    Who is the target audience?
    Target audience is both teachers and students. And both adults and children.
    What is the purpose of the website?
    The purpose of the website is to teach English to the speakers of other langugaes.
    Is there a date that shows when the site has last been updated?
    The only thing I didn't like about this website is that you can't find when it has last been updated. But you can see when the post was loaded.
    Accuracy of the information- Are there any errors?
    If you have a look at the Grammar, vocabulary and writing sections you wouldn't find any errors.
    Are there any broken links?
    Every link in the website works perfectly.
    Are the images of high quality and appealing to the target audience? 
    The images for both children and adut are different. In the website you can see that images are very suitable for the target audience.
    How can it be applied to EFL teaching? 
    In the website there are featured lessons for teachers to use. With the listening parts you can let your students hear a native speaker. As teachers we can want from the students to pick as many word as  they want from the vocabulary section and write a story with it. Actually what you can do with this website is up to your creativity.

The Most Important Mission: Endangered Species

    One of the biggest problem in todays' world is endangered species. With my seven other friends we wanted to introduce this problem through padlet. It was due to our lessons' group project.
    For the first step one of my seven friends Gamze opened a padlet page for us. After this with my other friends we sing up for the padlet. It was the easiest project that I've ever done.
    After we decided our group project every one of us started to search about endangered species. We were carefull because we didn't want to write same things and use the same data. While searching for endangered species I realize that the biggest harm to the nature and animals was given by us, humans.
Looking all those cute and innocent animals made me more aware of the situation and the danger. Because hurting those beautifull animals, actually means hurtig ourselves and the nature. As the future teachers we should be aware of the dangers and we should shape our future accordingly.
   Using the padlet was the easiest thing to do. Because it is very easy and usefull. There is nothing complicated with it! And for 21st century skills that children must have, it is very useful. Children can share what they want easily, write each other comment and find useful materials for the subject matter. I highly recommend the padlet for education!
